Dear Nationals,
today we celebrate 74 years of the history of our Country, marked by great popular participation, civil passion, hope in the future that has allowed Italy to have un precedented economic, social and cultural growth.
The current particular situation, due to the pandemic crisis has destroyed lives, society and the celebration of our National day. This however, could be viewed as a stimulus, an example for the restart because by looking at our past we realize how far the Republic has gone to guarantee democracy, freedom, health, justice, human rights, quality of life for the Italian people. It also brings to the forefront how many obstacles have been overcome when cohesion and the sense of responsability prevails.
Italy in 2020, even through all the suffering, knew how to react with hard work and sacrifice, becoming a large united territory, despite their singularities, distinguished by wealth of soul of those who live it and make it live
It is, without doubt an unusual and partly remote celebration but not for this, less imbued with meaning of being countrymen united by identical values of equality, freedom, solidarity and mutual collaboration.
Certain that this Embassy will be fully operational as soon as possible, I thank everyone for their collaboration and understanding.
