The Embassy of Italy in Harare presents the film “My brother chases dinosaurs” at the 2020 edition of the EU film Festival Zimbabwe.
The 2019 film is inspired by a true story and tells an “imperfect” family with Alessandro Gassman as the leading actor.
The director of the film Stefano Cipani has received several awards and prizes including the David di Donatello 2020 (young); the European Film Award 2020 (young people) and was nominated by the Italian Union of Cinema Journalists as the best young director for the year 2020.
This edition of the Festival will take place mainly online with public screenings in Zimbabwe.
For the short film competition which will address the theme “Climate change and the environment” Italy will be represented with the short film “Olmo” by Silvio Solidini.
The Festival will start on October 30th. and until 30 November it will screen numerous selected films representing European countries.
